We have been all over this one lately!

Monty and the Mushrooms

Illustrated by Jared Chapman @jaredchapman

Parent: “There still aren’t enough mushroom picture books out in the world. We waited patiently for our library to have a copy for us and it was worth the wait. We absolutely love the cast of characters and the cheery light in which Petty and Chapman paint mushrooms! It’s a funny story with morals about being a good neighbor, communicating problems, talking things out, and self awareness. Plus it has an amazing ending. We loved it every time we read it this week! Mushroom power! (Sorry Monty).”

Child (8): “Marmots are just mountain groundhogs and ski coats.”

Child (6): “I don’t know - I would love singing mushrooms I think.”
